Transfer Station hours

Third Saturday of each month
8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

For waste oil, metals, electronics and brush. The Transfer Station no longer accepts household trash, bulk items, tires, batteries, or items with Freon.

Waste oil

Accepted at the Transfer Station; maximum 10 quarts per visit.

Metal

Metal items can be disposed of in the metal bin without permits.

E-recycling

Computers, TVs (flat screen only), monitors (flat screen only), VCRs, scanners, printers and faxes are accepted. TVs will not be accepted if disassembled. Rechargeable batteries and fluorescent bulbs are no longer accepted.

Effective November 1, 2025

• Place all material curbside by 7:00 AM
• Full container limit is 50 lbs, excluding wheeled/lidded carts
• Each household is limited to one 96-gallon container, two 48-gallon containers, or three 32-gallon containers. All trash must be in a container.
• Bulky waste: 2 items the first full week of the month on your regular trash day. Furniture and carpet included; carpet must be cut into 4′ lengths, rolled and tied (1 roll = 1 bulk item). Bulk waste is no longer collected every trash day.
• Wheeled, lidded containers may be purchased from the ACUA for $75.00 each online or by calling (609) 272-6950; the ACUA will drop them off.

Not collected by the ACUA

Construction waste, tires, metals, TVs or electronics.

Latex paint

Latex paint is not hazardous waste. Dried latex paint can be disposed of in the trash.

Rigid plastics & shredded paper

Cannot be recycled curbside, but can be recycled at no charge at the ACUA’s recycling drop-off in Egg Harbor Township.

Batteries

Alkaline batteries can go in the trash. Rechargeable, nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion, silver-oxide and lead-acid batteries should go to a Household Hazardous Waste drop-off: acua.com/hhw

Recycling is collected every other week. The schedule is available here, at Town Hall, or on the ACUA website at acua.com. Recycling containers are available by contacting the ACUA at (609) 272-6950.

Atlantic County uses a single-stream recycling system, so all of your recyclables can be placed in the same container.
